IIOT in Marine vessels

Vessel performance, specific fuel consumption, navigation monitoring, alarms from AMS, onboard equipment condition monitoring and failure prediction

ALARM MANGEMENT SYSTEM (AMS)

Data from the AMS control system (PLCs) are taken to the central gateway PC. Depending on the setup, there are about 500 to 800 analog and digital signals that can be fetched.

Navigation

GPS, Anemometer, Speed log, Gyro, Rudder, Shaft (load, vibration, position), - these instruments are connected from the bridge to the gateway PC in the ECR. All data is displayed on a dashboard.

Auxilliary Engines

3 or 4 nos. Auxllliary engines are connected to the gateway PC located in the ECR. About 80 analog and digital signals can be fetched from each engine.

Failure prediction

Rule based algorithms are written to monitor vessel performance in terms of specific fuel consumption, specific power consumption. Equipment condition monitoring and predictive diagnostics prevent unplanned breakdowns

Fuel Consumption

Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and Medium Density Oil (MDO) are monitored from the flow meters. Existing meters are fitted with new transmitters, if required. Flow rate and total fuel consumption is recorded by MARINE MONITOR. Both Mass and Volume data are stored.

Notification

All data is transmitted to the cloud for visualisation on customised dashboards and alarm notifications sent by SMS, Email
